Hmmm… the 10th edition of the Floom Brunch, was another yummy food experience. Julie spoiled us with plenty of homemade and organic treats like granola cookies, chia pudding, date-almond energy balls, quinoa summer salad, lots of fresh fruit, and of course the delicious mueslis and granolas from Floom. It took place at the trendy pop-up summer bar Stulp at Kavka in Antwerp. There is no better way to spend a sunday morning than sharing a cosy brunch with old and new friends!

People who know me a bit, may have noticed I’m a morning person. This doesn’t mean I like waking up early, but it’s the atmosphere of mornings that makes me happy. Especially on sunday I like to take time for breakfast, and enjoy a brunch with family or friends. Luckily weekend brunching is hot at the moment! Granola brand Floom is organizing marvelous brunches which you can sign up for on their Facebook page. Last sunday I had the pleasure to take part and photograph the 5th Floom Brunch, that took place in a charming historical house in Lier. Delicious food, interesting people and nice atmosphere made it into a perfect sunday morning!

Tea Time

Something more about my tea scene… Even if you are not a tea drinker, you might definitely fall in love with this handmade japanese copper tea can by SyuRo. Over time it will gracefully change color and age as the metal oxidizes. The wooden spoon is handmade too. Today I have chosen a white tea from Paper and Tea: Shangri-La. Pure and clear, made from leafs that have the least oxidation. The high amount of antioxidants makes it the healthiest tea you can drink!

Paper & Tea – Berlin

Is tea the new coffee? For me it is for sure! As you might have noticed, I am a tea lover! Tea in the morning to wake up, in the afternoon at work and in the evening after dinner, every time of the day is the right moment for a cup of tea. Lately, tea shops and bars are popping up everywhere. I present you one of my favorite tea shops Paper and Tea, located in Berlin’s Charlottenburg district. In this lovely shop you can find the finest selection of tea, and a lot of beautiful ceramics. Besides tea, they also have a bunch of handcrafted paper goods. In october 2014 the second Paper and Tea store opened its doors in Berlin-Mitte. Can’t wait to visit this boutique on another trip to Berlin!

I hope you all had a sparkling New Year’s Eve last night, and a peaceful start of 2015! We celebrated at home with family and delicious food. The pavlova dessert was my favorite! The first day of the year was for sleeping late and dish washing…

In a previous post I told you about the granola brand Floom. Last weekend I had the pleasure to be part of one of the Floom brunches. Unfortunately I didn’t had my camera with me, so I did a little shoot of my breakfast this morning at home with this tasty quinoa. You can find more information about the brunches on there Facebook page.

Floom

Some time ago I discovered Floom, an Antwerp based brand that produces organic mueslis and granolas from healthy and natural resources in an artisanal fashion. I like the taste and healthiness of their products, and I couldn’t resist the lovely branding and packaging. You can order there products online. I chose for Quinoa and Buckwheat, a gluten free granola lightly sweetened with agave. Every month you can taste their products on the Floom brunches, organized in Antwerp. Soon more about that…
