Holiday season is finally here, and we are counting down the days until Christmas: picking out a Christmas tree, decorating the house, listening to Christmas music, strolling around the city for gift shopping and enjoying the Christmas lights. But most of all I like the greeting cards we all write to our loved ones with the warmest wishes! Can’t wait to open the mailbox and find the most beautiful cards in it.
Do you like writing cards as much as I do? I’m excited to announce the ‘The Fresh Light greeting cards’! The first series of 5 cards are in Christmas theme, illustrating fir and mistletoe! The second series, I will show you later this week, are in sparkling New Years theme. They are all printed on premium quality recycled paper, and come with recycled kraft envelopes.
You can find the cards in conceptstore A Better Blend in Antwerp, and in Supermarket, a designer Christmas market at Firma in Vilvoorde. Interested in buying or selling them too? Please send me a message at email@example.com. Price for one single card is 2,5 €, for a set of 5 cards 10 €.

Get ready for a healthier, happier, sexier breakfast! Grab a bowl, add a cold splash of yogurt and throw over the raw, superfood, nutty granola from JusJus. You have the choice between the nutty and the choco version (my personal favorite!), which contains activated raw almonds, perfectly mixed raw cacao with a lush date paste, lovingly blended with seeds and gojis, and lightly dusted with coconut flakes. Perfect to start your morning, or to supercharge your afternoon!
This trendy latte drink, based on matcha tea, is fascinating me for a while. The intense green matcha powder, used in Japanese tea ceremonies, is renowned for numerous health benefits. It’s rich in antioxidants, nutrients and chlorophyll. By adding hot milk, you will make the strong and intense matcha taste much more subtler, and meanwhile you get your daily dose of calcium.
- put 1 tsp matcha powder in a wide bowl
- add hot water (not boiling, 80° is perfect)
- use a bamboo whisk to stir it into a green foamy paste
- pour it in a glass together with hot milk
- add milk foam for the perfect topping

Yesterday I had the honor to be part of ‘Future Archive‘, an innovative project at Biennale Interieur curated by BaronessO. A selection of inspiring objects and furniture were selected to create a unique visual installation. I worked on a series of abstract compositions, determined by the strong shapes of the objects. Planes, lines and curves were the basic elements to build this series. By shooting the settings from top, and using square view frames, the images became more abstract and universal. The soft and often complementary colors were used like it were paintings.
It was an amazing experience to style and shoot this images in the environment of the Biennale Interieur. Improvisation (I didn’t know which objects to expect) and interaction (instant feedback of the visitors hanging around) were key elements of the day. Thanks Baroness O. and Biennale Interieur for the opportunity and making this possible!
Also a special thank you to Julie from granola brand Floom, to add the surprising element of food into the project!
Linen by Verilin, tiles by David & Goliath, ceramics by Anna Badur, Cathérine Lovatt and Petite Friture, jewels by Lien Hereijgers, petanque balls by Jean François D’or, diaries by Marjolein Delhaas, glasses by Theo, wire numbers by NakNak, metallic bowls and colored baskets by Normann Copenhagen, colored candle holders by Imke Höfker, marble tables by Atelier Haussmann and stone sample by Van Den Weghe.
Biennale Interieur is celebrating their 25th silver edition from 14 to 23 October in Kortijk Xpo. Baroness O. created a unique and interactive project: the ‘Future Archive‘, a display of new objects and reigning trends, the most innovative furniture and accessories that every visitor should remember. A group of creatives is invited to create a visual installation with the pieces on show. I’m so happy to announce The Fresh Light is one of them! On Monday 17th October I will take over the Archive to create a series of inspiring captures. Floom will add the surprising element of food into the project. You are welcome to visit us and have a look at our creative process (Hal 4, booth 436) or you can find the result later online…
