It has been on my bucket list for a while to shoot a jewelry line, but I couldn’t dream about these beautiful designs. I’m proud to present these photographs I made for Antwerp based fine jewelry designer Floor Wetemans. Her delicate and refined pieces are all handmade in Antwerp. If you would like to discuss a bespoke commission or purchase pieces from the collection you’re welcome to pop by her studio. You can contact Floor at floorwetemans@hotmail.com to make an appointment.

For the graphic identity we teamed up with talented Kristel from Studio Posen (who took care of my logo too). Besides business cards, there will be postcards and a beautiful booklet. The website will be launched soon. Stay tuned for that!

Thanks a lot to Floor, Kristel and Janice, our beautiful model, for this wonderful team work!

Welcome to the wonderful white world of Vormstudjo, a graphic design studio founded by the creative marvel Joëlle Speltdooren. After studying graphic and interior design, she got inspired by her little son Céril, and started to translate her love in the most beautiful and almost ethereal designs, from birth cards and wedding invitations to visual identities. She takes care about every detail, like the quality of the paper, the printing techniques, the packaging,… what guaranties authentic and high quality results. Stay tuned for more pictures of our photo shoot in another blogpost soon!

A few weeks after I launched The Fresh Light, I was contacted by Anouk, a young creative designer working on a new project called Myshelf. She developed the concept of this unique adjustable shelf, and made some prototypes. It was a pleasure to help her with the styling and the photography of the new product. One year later, I’m glad to see that Myshelf is available for sale! Read more about it here or have a look at ‘Het Eerste Kwartaal‘ on Canvas. Congrats Anouk!

Bed&Breakfast Leon°16, Brussels

Welcome to Leon 16! A brand new Bed and Breakfast in Brussels, and the perfect choice if you’re planning an overnight trip to our capital! Leon 16 is located in the trendy and fashionable Dansaert district and surrounded by cozy squares with numerous restaurants and cafes. Owners Annelies Veys and Karel Dierickx created a refreshing place with a balance between design and authenticity. The two suites, built around a patio garden, breathe serenity and calmness. Perfect to relax after a day in the city. Suite Ernest, located on the first floor is a place full of light, warmth and coziness and provides you with a lovely balcony, and a bathroom with a perfect tub! The other suite, named Alfons, is a real garden suite, located in the backyard. I can’t decide which one I love more. In the morning, you will get spoiled by a delicious homemade breakfast by lovely host Annelies.

For the photoshoot of this wonderful place, we wanted to capture the atmosphere, rather then a complete overview. We found two lovely ‘golden’ models, Janice and Daan, who where in perfect harmony with the surrounding. The moving pictures are a wink to the magic and playfulness of the place. You can have a look at the compete photo series here. Hope you enjoy it!

Ico collection

ICO 01ICO 02 nieuwico3ICO 26ICO 13b nieuwICO 05 nieuwICO 17b nieuwICO 04 nieuw

A new shoot for a new brand! ‘Ico’ is a recently launched collection of everyday objects that combines functionality with sculptural forms. Every object is made to last. The materials that are used will age beautifully and mark the passage of time: copper, stone, terrazzo and wood. Each piece of the collection can stand on its own, but I loved to combine them to create a dialog between the strongly shaped volumes and the different materials, like the massive stone and the perforated brass. The collection is the result of a collaboration between Annemarie van Riet, from the beautiful blog and webshop Joy of Little Things, and designer Marc Merckx. You can have a look at the complete lookbook here.

The collection is for sale in webshop Joy of Little Things.
